Dear jetBlue,

Dear jetBlue,

We are Dustin Curtis & Alaska Miller, and we need your help. We’re going to use the All You Can Jet pass to visit every jetBlue-served US city between September 8th and October 8th. There are 43 of them, and we've booked almost 90 flight segments. Because we're going to be intimately acquainted soon, we’d like to explain why we’re doing this. (And then we have a tiny favor to ask.)

A STORY

On a recent flight, Dustin met a woman who lost her job in finance a few months earlier. Desperate and broke, she took a job in San Francisco after a phone interview and spent every last penny she had on a same-day flight from New York City. With no idea of where she was going to sleep and no money for food, she was genuinely terrified.

"I used to risk millions of dollars every day at my finance job," she said.
"But this risk I am taking now feels like the scariest thing I have ever done. Desperation really puts everything into perspective."

In an airplane, hundreds of people with rich backgrounds and histories are crammed together for hours at a time. They have fascinating stories. We want to tell some of them. Our plan is to strike up conversations during our flights and see if maybe, after 30 days of constant flying, we can get a good understanding of the average jetBlue flier. We’re going to document our experiences at 30dayflight.com. We’d love for you to follow our adventure.

THE FAVOR

But we do have a favor to ask. There are some limitations on the All You Can Jet pass, like charges for missed flights, that could make our trip impossible. Both of us have wanted to meet your CEO, David Barger, so how about coffee near your headquarters — on us — this Tuesday, September 8th, around 2pm? It’d be a great way to kick off our trip.

We can't wait to meet you.

Thanks,

Dustin Curtis & Alaska Miller
